Considered the most romantic of the Greek islands and beyond, Santorini has a circular
shape because it is part of a wall of a large volcanic crater.
Rugged cliffs drop straight into the sea in the west wall of the island and in eastern
slope descends gently to the beaches. The island is a spectacular and is very special
place that holds the largest submarine caldera in the world, 83 kilometers in diameter,
with a depth of 300-400 meters.
